I have a jean skirt from 1999.  It is just over 14 inches long, and it sits right on top of my dresser just waiting for me to fit it again.  I *might* post a pic here when it fits but I definitely won't be wearing it to Walmart or anywhere in public!  I guess when I was 20 I never had to bend over or reach for anything...
