100-120 calorie protein options that you can chew- besides meat and cheese
there are tofu sticks that are smokey flavored or even bbq flavored. the bbq are kind of high carb but the smokey ones are not and are pretty good. i also get single serving tuna - don't know if you consider that fish. there are frozen greek yogurt bars at costco - yasso brand - with 70 cal and 6 g protein. most protein bars are higher calorie but maybe on the eggface website there are recipies for homemade ones. there are lots of recipies on that site for egg bites that are like a little quiche without crust and you can make ahead and freeze. diane
I don't know if you consider cottage cheese to be "cheese" but a 4 oz (113 g) serving of 4% fat(red label, which is what I eat) has about 120 calories, 5 g fat (3 g saturated), 3 g carbohydrates, and 14 g protein. I also eat my cottage in 6 oz servings for a little more protein.
Tuna salad isn't "meat" to me either. I eat that alot.
Also greek yogurt is pretty delish. I used to buy the ones with the fruit in the bottom but it's becoming too much sugar for me so I switch to plain 0% fat and add 1 packet of splenda in 5-6 oz and it's awesome tasting.
Beef Jerky IS meat, but its very low cal and high in protein. I ate that ALOT during my losing phase and all of the sodium made me thirsty so it would make me stay on top of my water. Some people here will say that jerkey made them stall, it did make me stall for a bit but as long as I kept my water above 70 oz, I would continue to lose. I still eat jerky while I maintain my 120 lb loss.
