1 week post-op...down 20 lbs!

So I had surgery last Saturday and decided I would wait a week to weigh in. I lost 10 in the pre-op liquid stage and after weighing this morning an additional 10 since surgery. I am now only 5 lbs away from ONEDERLAND!!!!
I tried on clothes yesterday morning and bagged up all my 2X's after trying them on and finding how baggy they are on me, and many of my 1X's. I put my size 14 pants on and they were snug but I could actually zip them and breathe (still another 7ish lbs before I would be *comfortable* in them. ha ha
I've struggled with some head hunger this week and missing our Friday night dinner dates (honestly it wasn't about the company, the movie, etc. it was about the FOOD, the popcorn. Sad realization) But I have been going stir crazy so we went to the movies, after having a protein shake so the smell of popcorn didn't make me crazy as I'm still feeling plenty of hunger, and I took a crystal light. I had my crystal light in one hand and my husbands hand in the other. It felt good to not have the food in the way-and I enjoyed myself thoroughly and wasn't wishing for the treats. This is a big deal for me emotionally and a small clue that maybe I *can* do this and change my relationship with food.
I'm looking SO forward to the full liquids that I get to start on Monday. Pudding and yogurt never looked so good! :) Just wanted to share for those that are looking into the sleeve. Do it. I'm so amazed at how quickly it's come off. I realize it will slow drastically and I'm okay with that. I just will be thrilled to be in the ONE'S again!!!!!! (probably next week some time!
p.s. As I shed the weight I will shed the bigger clothes that no longer fit. It will feel good loading up the car with a bag every few weeks and getting RID of that size in my house forever.

So thrilled for you!
I was sleeved last Monday the 6th! I'm feeling great, but I too, am hungry. I've not been restricted to clear liquids and have had yogurt, strained clam chowder, protein drinks, etc. I'm sooo looking forward to purred foods in another 8 days, let me tell you.
I am much bigger than you and started at like 330, before surgery I lost about 35 lbs. This week I'm already down about 6 or 7. YAY!!!
Congrats and keep up the good work. Are you walking much?

Thank you everyone! My teenagers even noticed for the first time today. I was passing by when my son walked in from work and he said, "Wow Mom. You are looking really good. I can tell you've lost quite a bit!" Made me feel really good because for the most part I can really feel invisible to my kids (unless they need something) ha ha!
And I am only walking around the house except for tonight we took the kids to the park and I walked around the duck pond a couple times. Mostly because The Dr said not to do anything but around the house for the first week (but I'm also coming down with a pretty rough cold), then week two I can add 15 min of walking around the neighborhood or on a treadmill at a steady, but not too fast, pace. Week three I can do some more intense exercise but no weights and after a month anything goes. I'm excited because as I lose the pounds I FEEL better and feel more like exercising. It's a great snowball effect!
p.s. My husband who said absolutely NOWAY could he get a surgery like this is already second guessing that decision as he sees my success. He's starting his 6 month diet this month and then will revisit his feelings toward it at that point. lol
