Good Morning Everyone,

I'm so sorry I am running late today. I've had a really bad sinus infection for about 10 days now and I slept in. I can honestly say that after 4 prescriptions I am FINALLY feeling better. Thank GOD for that since I have a 300 milie trip to take in 2 days. Today I am grateful for modern medicine and feeling better. Last night I was beginning to wonder if I was going to end up in the hospital with phnemonia. I have never had phnemonia before but I do know that I haven't used my asthma inhaler as much as I have this past 10 days in the last 5 yrs or longer. Grateful to my PCP who listens to me and give me all these prescriptions. I'm unsure if it is age or what but when I get little sinus things going on I can't seem to get over them with OTC meds. I am so grateful that I am finally feeling human again. LOL I think I might actually live now. PLEASE share with us what you are grateful for today. Have a Blessed day !!!!

Gald you are starting to feel better! Today I am grateful for my husband. Last night I was in a really grouchy mood (I felt horrible cuz it was Valentines day) and he told me to go to bed around 7:30 and he took care of putting our son to bed and cleaning the kitchen up after dinner.

There is only one success--to be able to spend your life in your own way.

Vivian so glad to hear you are feeling better! Today i am grateful for the internet. It's been a blessing in helping me build my new business, it helped me research this surgery and it connected me with some truly wonderful people (OH'ers in particular) I would not have gotten to meet otherwise. I am grateful that I can come to a place like this and find the support, encouragement, and motivation I need to keep on keepin on when it seems like everything is too hard.

Today I too am grateful for modern medicine. My adult single son has been battling testicular cancer for 8 months now, and after grueling chemotherapy, the tumor which had spread to his abdomen had not shrunk at all. 4 weeks ago he had major surgery as UCSF to remove the tumor which was larger than a grapefruit. I am driving him tomorrow to SF for a follow up visit. The gratitude comes from what we have heard so far - the tumor showed no signs of spreading further! So while we don't know the whole story, it has been very difficult and will know much more tomorrow. I am also grateful for this site. I check in here every day and although I am 62 and losing more slowly than some, I am losing and feeling better physically all the time.

Judy....I will pray with you that there will be NO signs of the cancer now that the tumor is removed. Praying for complete healing for your son and that good health will be restored to his body. 62 is not old....I am nearing that number myself. Glad you are feeling better and in the long run....it doesn't matter how quickly the weight comes off....what matters is that it goes and that you will get healthier as it leaves. Please update me on what you find out about your son tomorrow. You can either PM me privately or you can post here on this thread whichever you like. You and your son will be in my thoughts and prayers. Have a blessed day !!!
