No progress at all and just plain dissapointed!
For me, what motivates me at a year out, and struggleing with not being able to lose those last 10 pounds....for like 4 months of losing and gaining the same couple pounds, and feeling like a failure for it at times.....
IS COMING HERE !
I would also change your ticker to post HOW MUCH YOU HAVE LOST -- and not just how far you need to go. Look at the positives in your life, and celebrate each and every good choice you make verses getting on yourself about each negative aspect of your weight loss (or not!)
Sometimes, for me; I can't even take it one day at a time. I take it one hour at a time. This hour, I will only drink my fluids, and not eat anything. Yes, sometimes it's STILL THAT hard !!
But I'll tell you what I celebrated today:
1. I got up, dressed for my workout at Curves.
2. I stretched for 5 minutes while the coffee brewed.
3. I worked out hard at Curves
4. I ate my oatmeal at work
5. I haven't eaten anything off program, and it's 11:00am !
6. I have a healthy lunch in the fridge !
Focus on what you CAN do ! And celebrate each success !!!

You are not alone. I too feel that I've gotten off track. I did go back to the pre-op diet and lost about 4 lbs, so that was encouragning. I realized that it is all up to me. Im greatful that my hunger isn't so distracting to me, which before surgery, caused me to go off track much easier. Now that I have my tool, food isn't all that important, and I can eat smaller portions and be satisfied. Next week I'll be going back to stage 3 and moving forward. I only have 45lbs or so more to lose. That's my plan...what's your's?
You know how to get back on track - stay on your plan! You had to be pretty off plan to put on 10-12 pounds with a VSG over the holidays. Stay. On. Plan.
80 g protein, less than 40 g carbs, no snacking/grazing, no alcohol, get off your butt and move your body.
Sounds like you've stopped weighing yourself too ("I believe that I may have gained....") You need to record your actions so you know what you're doing. Log the food that goes into your body. Log your weight. Decide to be responsible to yourself.
It sucks that you don't have a lot of family support - so it's going to be necessary to make sure you attend those WLS support groups. They are there to help you! You have to go. Also, scary thought - think about getting out of that house if you have no support.
Remember that your sleeve is a tool, it's a second line of defense, not the first line. The first line of defense is you committing to a new lifestyle, to living differently, to not returning to habits of the past.
Be strong!
