Accountability thread exercise 2-18

 Had a good solid day with the sleeve today.

30 minutes elliptical
10 minutes strength training for the upper body- hoping to minimize the future bat wings!
35 minutes walking

Closer to having all the water in, but some still to go.  Vitamins got a late start, but I will take the second doses late too.  

Hope your day went well today!  Please feel free to join in the exerices thread daily.  A beloved vet suggests that  you post even on days you don't exercise to keep things honest.

Today is my day of rest.
Tomorrow morning my husband says he will come to the gym with me!

so until tomorrow....

Lovely day in the garden....Over 3 hours of raking, bagging, pulling weeds, sweeping, wood stacking, and pooper scooping....The yard looks great; and I am sore and tired ! But a year ago, I couldn't have done it !!!

I am 3 mo out from my sleeve surgery.  I havent exercised as much as I should but I am going to be more consistant.  In the past all I have done is tredmill.  Can you offer any advise for an excercise program.  I live quite away from the gym and want to do something at home.  I have thought of those exercise balls but not sure where to start.

You don't need an official program.  Just pick something you can do on consistently.  Walking, Wii Fit, exercise or yoga videos.  You can go on youtube and get some ideas.

I didn't join a gym until I was 9 months out.  I worked out at home using the Gazelle (simplified cross-trainer) and the Wii.

Today was big exercise day - 45 minutes of weight/strength training, an hour on the elliptical doing intervals, and 20 minutes on the treadmill.  Officially pooped.
