My post op diet was very strict. I can't remember the exact details, but it was something like: Clear liquids 1 week, creamy liquids 2 weeks, pureed 1 or 2 weeks, mushies I think 2 weeks, softs I think 2 weeks? Something like that...

CW: 130ish HW: 264 SW:254 Hgt: 5'2

Yes, stomach growling hunger 1 wk post op and lasted until I started nexium 3 days ago. They "forgot" to write my script before discharge. Makes me wonder if I would have lost more weight b/c I would have been eating less week 1-5.

I was hungry post-op, and felt it the most while I was on the liquid and pureed stages. Once I got to soft/mechanical I began really feeling my sleeve restriction. I would still get hungry, but it would be so easily satisfied. I'm not "hungry" for high calorie food like I used to be.

I was sleeved on Valentines Day (almost 3 weeks ago), and have not had any post op hunger yet. I have had occassional head hunger , but it is easy to recognize the difference and that I am not really hungry.

Honestly, I thought I did--I felt like I was starving--but as it turned out I think it was the gurgling noises that sounded like my stomach was growling...I do not think I felt actual hunger until I was on mushies--but ya never know! and even now, when I KNOW for a fact I have gone a long time with no food and I know it is time to eat, and my stomach growls, it is nothing like before...it growls once and no more for about 20 min.

I will be 18 months post op on 3/7. I can't remember when I started feeling the hunger feeling but I will tell you that I do remember it is because I hadn't eaten in 4+ hours so naturally my tummy was telling me it was time to eat.

Almost four weeks post op, no hunger yet. I am on PPI twice a day which takes care of the acid that sometimes mimics hunger. I wonder how many of the above are on PPI...would be interesting.

Band (09/07) removed, revised to sleeve 2/9/12.
