San Antonio. I'm doing okay. I have been doing a very sensible diet. Have not really cheated (that is, I didn't eat any junk food) although some days I eat more good food than I probably should. If I had the VSG I wouldn't be able to over eat LOL So all the more reason I need it! I've been able to kick the sweets which is amazing for me. It's been so long since I was able to kick the habit. The quest protein bars helped me the first week when the cravings were the worst (and during TOM). Now I eat them only once in awhile. My weight is coming off really slowly. But slow is better than nothing at all.
My surgeon did not say I have to lose any specific amount. I will have to do liquids one week before the surgery. Although the dietician said closer to that time they may forgo that if I lose enough weight pre-op.
How about you? Where are you from? What have you been doing for pre-op preparation?

Right now I am doing strick atkins induction and I am walking everyday, I am not going to weigh myself again until my Dr. Appointment on the 18th so I hope I see a really big number.
I am already off the caffine and carb's so I haven't been having an cravings and I gave up alchohol for lent that has kinda been hard but it's all worth it and try not to complain too much because I know it could always be worse.
Your right slow is better than nothing at all, I think my surgeon might have me on at least a 2 week liquid diet if not 4 I am really trying to loose as close to 100 pounds as I can, but I am not going to beat myself up if I don't, It's just the goal and I am determined!! :)
