I start full liquids next Thursday (18 days post op) and I'm getting pretty excited.  I've done almost every imaginable thing to make my clear liquids exciting and fabulous (maybe a stretch).  I'm going to head out to B,B&B to pick up a blender/wand.  I'm hoping to pull some recipes together in preparation to the big day.  Any ideas would be much appreciated

My fav on full liquids was sugar free puddings. So many flavors available, however the nutritionist didn't agree with my choice, saying that I needed to choose from basic food groups and she wanted to know what food group pudding fell into? When I responded that it is milk product she disagreed and said pudding is basically a sugar food. I ignored her and enjoyed my pudding anyway. Enjoy your new phase and your weight loss.

Full liquids for me was protein shakes, cream soups (I chose the lowest carb ones I could find and then added protein powder), plain greek yogurt thinned out with milk (used splenda and sf pudding to make it taste better), milk, and that's all I can remember.

It's not very exciting, but this list of protein shake ideas might help!

One of the things I enjoyed the most was to take a chunky soup (meat and veggies kind, not rice or pasta), put it in the blender, and turn it into a thick brown goo.  Looks like poo, heh heh, but tastes wonderful!  After all the sweet stuff -- protein shakes, etc. -- something that tastes like meat was lovely.

Best wishes!

That was one of my best purchases, besides my gym memebership . Blending the can soups was my staple during full liquids.

I made a very yummy soup today it s a weigh****chers egg drop soup .  The recipie called for chicken but I didn't put it in it.  Never heard of chicken in egg drop.  Anyway here it is
1  15.0 oz can fat free red sodium chicken broth
2 tablespoons cornstarch blended in 1/4 cup water
Black pepper
Bring all to a boil stirring constantly until thickens then add 1 beaten egg while continuing to stir.
Remove from heat and enjoy.  It was yummy!
