Check with your Doctor and Nut but if you can't tolerate pureed please get your shakes in, clear broth, sugar free popsicles, try and stay hydrated and focus on getting protein in. You can always go back to pureed in another week or two.
I was on clear liquids for three weeks then I was able to advance to full liquids for another three weeks then I was able to do soft and then regular food.
Remember to sip, walk, rest, and repeat

I am 6 days out and I am doing protein shakes (all different flavors, to keep it interesting) and adding protein powder (unflavored) to chicken broth and tomato soup. Also, jello, popsicles, fudgsicles, pudding,(all sugar-free, of course), Greek yogurt, and sugar-free flavored waters, like Crystal Lite. I find variety is helping a lot...but right now I really miss crunching and chewing! Another 10 days to go....
Me three or four... One week out on full liquids until week three. Thank God for the broth with an added scoop of unflavored protein powder. My Mom made me some chicken broth yesterday and thats what I am using.. so good. I am also freezing my unjury protein drinks and and eating them as a slushie. very tasty. The SF popsicles are a God send as well. Just be sure to get your protein in and stay hydrated...Come on we can do it together...

i am one week out and on pureed food. i mostly drink my protein with nectar protein shakes @ 23 grams protein x 2 per day.
i do have 1 oz of breakfast / lunch / dinner and have scrambled eggs (3/4), flakey white fish, tuna salad, hummus, ricotta cheese, cottage cheese,
i don't like these but you can also have chicken salad, egg salad, yogurt (regular and greek), blended chicken soup.
hope this helps. good luck!!!

I'm actually still in the hospital, just had my surgery yesterday. I will be on clear liquids for 2 weeks then full liquids, then chopped/pureed, etc and at week 7 I can start experimenting with whole foods. It's only my first day on liquids and I am really struggling to get them in. My Nutritionist wants me to have 48 fluid ounces per day but no more than 4 ounces per hour...After 2-3 ounces (one about every 15 minutes) I am stuffed like I just had Thanksgiving dinner! I'm assuming it will get easier but i'm getting nervous about being able to get in all that i need. So far chicken broth is my best friend. I have found some varieties at my grocery store waiting for me at home, not so bland like Emeril's, Rachel Rae, etc. I also got some italian ices instead of ice pops. Gatorade, all kinds of different juice blends like white grape/cranberry, etc. and I'm going to see if I can dig out my Dad's juicer and his recipe books. I haven't seen them since he passed away 14 years ago, but I know they are in my house somewhere and he used to make a lot of great concoctions with it that i bet would be good now! Who makes the plain protein powder? I haven't seen that anywhere yet.
Same as tripmom... 2 weeks clear, 2 weeks full liquid, 2 weeks puree.... then soft foods for 2-4 weeks (I can't remember) and then no beef or raw veg until 6 months (he cleared me at 5 because I told him I'd kill him if he didn't let me have a salad) LOL
Seriously. This is a VERY VERY short period of time. You can do this. Stick with it. It seems hard now, but I promise, in a few months, it won't matter to you. YOU GOT THIS.
