Really? Average loss from month 3 to 6 is only 15 pounds?

I guess were assuming that everybody is on the same eating plan????

Don't even begin to think that it doesn't matter......

Activity is the other variable......

I lost 14.62lbs. per month average over 13 months = 190lbs. loss

Constant 600-800 cal program. (no wig wagging)

I woulda never made it on 1200 cals. for sure.

What my average doesn't show is how hard it got after 6 months......and the battle that went on the last 4 months.....

Okay, I am going to chime in here and say what you really should be focusing on is following your plan...hopefully, your plan is a good one that makes sense for your body...and let the numbers take care of themselves.  In the essence of saving time, I will refer you to my profile page to read my blog about my journey.  Long story short, I was focused on numbers because I was a heavyweight (BMI 67.3 to start).  I should have been losing big numbers from the get go...I didn't...no one, not even my surgeon understands why I didn't drop weight like an ice cube melting in a hot skillet.  For whatever reason, I didn't.  I had a month long stall right out of the gate following one of the most conservative eating plans out there.  But, I still lost slow until after my 6 month mark and then I started losing 13-15 pounds a month for the next 8 months.  I have lost 215 pounds and have been maintaining that loss for the last 6 months...so, I lost that in about 18 months.

My point is, don't focus on the numbers.  It will only frustrate you.  And, as you can see, it does take care of itself if you do what you are supposed to do and not worry about the numbers.  Why stress over something that you can't change?  Your body is going to do what it needs to do based on what you provide it with.  So, follow plan (providing it is a sensible plan) and have faith in the process that you will get to your goal.

You will, I am proof.  I stopped worrying about the numbers way early on.  I am sure that if I hadn't given that up to the faith Gods, that I would still be struggling, frustrated and probably no where near where I am today.  Best of luck to you in your journey.

Great post SuperRN- I needed a reminder of that.  Frisco, completely agree it is all about following plan.  I guess the comment from the NUT just really caught me off guard.  Ok, out to enjoy the beautiful weather!
