I'm so glad to see someone has avocado listed - it's one of my favorites and I was hoping it wouldn't be off limits after surgery.

Silly_Sweet, I know you didn't ask for comments or suggestion so if this is out of line, just ignore me, but I noticed something that you might consider in your eating. I am seeing more sodium than I would be comfortable consuming. The jerky and the Tyson chicken are often loaded with it. I can tell you that when I took out the processed meat from my diet at about 4 months or so, my weight loss speeded up considerably. It is possible, that it was jus****er that I lost faster, but in truth, I didn't care, I loved seeing the numbers drop on that scale. If this is not true for you, again, I don't mean any disrespect, I just wanted to point it out in case it might be useful to you. Good luck to you.
I really hope I didn't offend you by commenting on your food. I am sorry if I did, I really did not mean to do it. I just want to share my thoughts, and I feel like I know you well enough from your posts that you might welcome them, but it does sound a bit intrusive to comment without being asked.

Thank you Elina! I had actually been considering the sodium recently. Haven't done anything about it beyond thinking about it. LOL
What did you use to replace some of these things? I'm struggling to keep calories low, stay convenient, all that stuff. I'm stalled so I'm holding my calories as low as possible, but still struggling. I bet it's the salt as you suggest.
The last few pounds are HARD! Looking for suggestions!

I would bet it's the salt too. I would try an experiment for two weeks, cut out all processed meats from your diet and see what happens. In my case, the weight loss really picked up. It was dramatic enough that I never went back to processed meats again.
As far as replacements, it is definitely harder to replace their convenience, but it is doable. I bought a dehydrator and have been making my own low sodium jerky. Sublimate has some great recipes for this. I also used to eat a good deal of shrimp with ****tail sauce mixed with horseradish and lemon juice for dip. I started making my own chicken soup and using the cooked chicken in many different ways. If you get stuck, let me know, we can brain storm it together to make it work for you. You might also want to talk to Sublimate, she has great easy recipes that are very smart for weight loss and maintenance. I am glad I didn't offend you, I was a bit worried after I typed my response, but I knew that I would want to hear any suggestions, so I hoped you would feel the same way.
