Since all I do right now is watch TV, walk for 5 min. and watch more TV I've probably watched more TV in the last 2 days than I have all year and OMG there are so many commercials for food.  I don't have any hunger to speak of right now (which is handy) but I do still see the commercials and go yummy, while I sip on my mio water.

Yes, there are a lot of food commercials.  I found out that my thoughts about food really changed and now when I see that commercial with tons of gooey stuff I kind of get a sick feeling.  It just looks like a big blob of fat with oily shine on it.  I think your taste for good plain food increases as you get the old habits out of your system. The thing I have noticed most is that some of the old stuff I  used to love just dosen't taste as good as I remember it when I do get a taste of it.  It's kind of like "why did I love that so much?"

Just remember that most of that stuff they are advertising is CRAP!  Look up the stats on some of it in your free time and you will be appalled!!!

I remember feeling that way.  I would pull the blanket over my head almost every commercial.  No wonder the USA is so fat, junk food ads everywhere.

OMG I know!  I got my sleeve last monday and am still on clear liquid...these commercials are KILLING ME.  There's one for Outback for steak and lobster that nearly brings me to tears as I sip my broth...LOL

When I had my surgery, it was right before Thanksgiving 2010. I remember watching lots of shows on the Food Network and it didn't bother me that much - which I found surprising. Smelling the food in person was worse.
