Check In with my Pre-Ops
VSG on 12/09/14
Good luck to you all waiting on insurance approval!
I started walking and boy am I outta shape! My legs and arms are sore (also pushing a chubby baby in the carriage LOL). I gained 2 pounds but I think it's the soreness and some swelling. My shoes feel tight. A little bummed by the gain, but I know that it will come off eventually as my body adjusts.
I'm chugging water to flush everything out. That's one thing that I am very nervous about post op... inability to drink a lot of water. I drink 64 oz now and some days I need even more. Just always thirsty. It's going to be very difficult to get all tha****er in post-op.
When the time comes for my pre-op diet it's liquids with one solid meal at dinner time. I don't know how well I will do with that. I really hate...and I mean hate- those protein shakes. When we get closer to the time I'm going to experiment with protein coffee and protein soups. I was thinking to buy that unflavored protein product to try out.
