Question for the ladies!

Did anyone miss a period after surgery?  I got mine a week before my surgery and am now way past due.  And, no, there's no way I'm pregnant!  I always see posts of women getting it on surgery day but not seen one about after.  Just wondering if the surgery is to blame. 

I had surgery on the 21st and my cycle started right on time on the 23rd. The only time I have ever been late I was pregant.

It very well could be.  My hormones have been MESSED UP ever since surgery.  I didn't have a period before surgery (at first it was medically stopped, then it just stopped itself) but by God when it came back it came with a vengeance!  It took me 14 days of hormones to get it to stop, and it was heavier than EVER.  You may want to prepare yourself for that when it does come back.  I hope not everyone's is as bad as mine.  I had spotting about 2 weeks after surgery, then I had the full think at 6 weeks out.  

Your body has been though some big change, and hormones go crazy when you lose weight.  Give it another week or so and then I would call the doc just to be sure everything is OK.  

 I did skip 1 month after surgery.  Since then it's been clock work each month!  The surgery really messes with your hormones and can speed things up and slow things down - I wouldn't worry too much!

I'm glad you posted this!   I'm a week late & wondered just how common it was to be irregular immediately following surgery.   I'm done having babies, so it won't hurt my feelings if I never have another period lol!
