one word.. WATER!
You must must must drink tha****er everyday... Believe me I am still struggling with getting in either the protein OR water everyday... but if I dont drink water I do not lose.... Ive had to find a protein shake that is the smallest quantity with the most protein so I can get my protein in and my water....

Today is 3 weeks since my surgery date.

I have lost 4 pounds.

I am fine with it though.

For one, I am not getting in my water!  Also, I do not eat enough calories.

I need to do my part too.

I will come off, eventually.

And, a slow weight loss is better for the skin.

I think the reason you have just lost 4 lbs since surgery is because (I see this in your signature.) you were already losing weight with WW. Weight tends to not come off as quick after you are already losing.  I'm impressed that you lost over 71 lbs on your own!  Way to go!  :-)  I wish I could do that.

I remember that feeling (and you're a lightweight compared to me!).  But, somehow, that 13 lb loss every month turned into over 125 lbs lost.  Stay with the program, keep your chin up and ask yourself when the last time you lost 13lbs in a month was. One day at a time...it will all work out.

Hi Kathy,
Like you, I'm a "light weight". I had VSG on 1/18/12, and I am almost 3 months post op, and I went from 226 to 177. It is true that we lose at a slower rate, My first month I lost 24lbs, and I am averaging about 17lbs a month. I want to reach 140, my surgeon & nutritionist have a goal of 155. I am 22lbs from their goal and not even 3 months out. Just keep working the program and exercising and you will do fabulous!

Only once in my life did I ever loose close to 13 lbs in a month.  I was on weigh****chers and than I was also swimming 1 hour a day.   The difference is when I stopped this routine I gained the weight back faster than I lost it.  I'd be happy if I lost 13 lbs a month with having this surgery.  Even if I lost 4 lbs a month 1 pound a week.  That's 104 lbs in 2 years!  So just remember in time you will have lost everything you want to loose.  It's just going to take time.  Be patient.  And also like the other poster said it's better for your skin if it's slower.  :-)  Keep on going!  I can't wait to have this surgery done!  But I must be patient as I'm telling you.  :-)
