Was this an OK choice

There's that issue of carbs/fiber though. After it was explained to me thoroughly I'm a strong believer that fiber doesn't count since our body doesn't process it and we also need fiber. I used to think a carb is a carb until I heard about that but I know a lot of people who count fiber. Maybe it's because I'm a bean *****

Some people count all the carbs fiber and all.  And some people subtract the fiber number from the carbs to give them their carb number.  It depends on you NUT and what works for you.

Apparently I was a little tired when I wrote that post because I forgot how to spell and write a sentice correctly!  Thanks. I didn't know that about fiber and carbs.  I didn't get a nutritionist.  Will probably get one later.

This is not something that everyone does, I just want to make that clear.  usually you will here it referred to as Net carbs.  I know Dr. Cirangle and many other dr's do not use that way but count all carbs.  It's up to you to find out what works best for you.  Me I LOVE beans.  I'm not sure what I'm going to do about that.

I used to think that a carb was a carb until I found out that our body doesn't process fiber so if our body isn't processing something and doing what it does like the other carbs why would I count it? That just doesn't make sense in my brain if it goes straight from my mouth to my butt. I'm going to do some research on it.

taco bell was the first place I ate "out" at when on soft foods. I get the pinto n beans cup with cheese (it's just refried beans) asnd it's cheap and filling and yummy! If we are grabbing dinner out for the kids I have found I can eat a variety of things on the go. Here are my favorites:

Burger king:
Whopper with cheese, no bun (it gives me 2-3 meals actually. I do NOT eat it all at once)

Taco Bell:
bean cup or ranchero chicken soft taco (no tortilla because I don't want to be tempted to take some bites of the carbs)

KFC: chicken leg, original recipe

Wendys: chili (it takes me 2-3 meals to eat the whole small cup)

Arbys: classic beef n cheddar no bun.

I'm doing great and I pick up fast food once or twice a week due to neccesity but I make these better choices and even the things that have a couple carbs even without the bread or tortilla...well, I have room for them. Some days I only get 10 daily carbs and I feel like that's not enough so I have no guilt when I have a little carbs from those or milk or something like that. The KFC chicken leg is one of my favorite treats! Pre op I'd have 3-4 PLUS mac n cheese, potatoes and gravy and a big soda to slurp down with a buttered biscuit. Now I feel so excited just for the one leg. lol Lovin' this sleeve!
