Hot spices and new sleeves? (flavoring broths)

I just sprinkled a little Cavender's Greek Seasoning in to my chicken broth and it made it delicious!

That got me to wondering about other seasonings.  Cajun in beef broth, maybe.

And that got me to wondering, do spicy foods set off your sleeve in those early weeks before it's healed?  It seems like they would.

Anyway, I recommend the Cavender's.  It took bland broth and made it tasty.  I'm sure it would work for beef, too.

My team said some spice was okay but don't go overboard/hot in the first two weeks :)

Your experience may vary, but while on clears/fulls I was craving spice and added Franks Red Hot wing sauce to my chicken broth/protein soup. It was great! Mushies- my fav go to was a couple spoons of refried beans topped with Greek yogurt and hot sauce, and some thin salsa and cheese.. Hot stuff has never bothered me.

Hot stuff and spice never bothered me. In fact the first meal I had after I was cleared for liquids besides ice chips was a broth in mexico that had a tiny kick to it. It was so freaky good

Like some of the other posters, after surgery, I craved everything spicy. I guess since I could have so little, I wanted to at least have that little something pack a punch, lol.

I'm surprised that the spices didn't burn.  That's great to know. Thanks, everybody!
