I had mine off before that many days. I had to change them everyday from surgery until they were healed enough to leave off.

They took my bandages off before I left the hospital.  The doctor that removed the staples put steristrips on two of the insision which I took off yesterday.

My doctor to me that they could come off shortly after I got home from the hospital. I recently purhcased silicone scar strips and wear them 12 hours a day - it promotes healy, and prevents keloids, fades them, etc..

take the bandages off yourself..don't wait for the doctor.  This practice expects you to take them off.

I went to my first check up with a few bandages on, and Roslin wanted to rip them off...I wouldn't let him touch me (I'm a big baby).

It's amazing to see the difference in technique.  I had it laproscopically, my surgeon sews under the skin, then glues the sites.  No bandages, the glue stayed on for 3 weeks which was too long for my skin, but the scars are minimal.
