Ok...so the when I got cleared for all excercise, I started doing biggest loser cardio max videos and the weight bench--I have done well on these...but now that I am getting to where I only have 10-15 lbs to lose which may take a while, and I want to maintain what I have lost, what excercises do you do? and why? I went to the gym for the first time today and needless to say I probably looked like a complete idiot because I didnt know which machines were good for what etc---I do have the WII zumba game I tried a couple times and some other work out videos and a treadmill. OH and I also have one of those big balls--never figured out how to use it though.  Please any tips on how to maintain and how many days a week? Thanks so much!!

Schedule a session with a trainer to walk you through the machines and help you set-up a plan.  I also had a lot of success in college with Body for Life - the book goes through all the weight lifting techniques and gives you the various exercises to do 3 times a week.

Go to the gym and see if they have any personal trainers or go with a friend who knows about fitness and ask them to show you. In order to learn, you must ask!! :) I recommed Zumba fitness classes! you might be concerned about looking silly, but everyone else is thinking the same thing and it is so much fun!!

Low impact cardio, walking, tapes at home, anything that will get your heart rate up. You don't have to go to extremes. Find something you can stick with. Check out shape magazine or fitness mag online. Also google.
