whatcha eating today VSGers? Thursday
you know what I have not been able to tolerate one single protein shake since I had surgery! I get all mine from meat! I would much rather sit down with chicken and honey mustard or a jennie o turkey burger (no bun) anyday over those nasty shakes again! I dont think I got to my protein goals until I was about 4 months out or so.
Regarding protein drinks, I am nearly 5 months out and have one almost every day. It would be very hard, at least for me, to get 70-80 grams without one. Of course, today was an exception, but I'm home all day with easy access to foods as I recover from knee surgery.
B: 3/4 c. high fiber cereal, 2 morningstar farms sausage links
S: Quest bar
L: 1/2 sandwich on julian bread, 2 ounces deli ham, pickle, tomato, spinach leaves
S: none
D: 1/2 salmon burger, tomato slices

S: 3 oz of plain greek yogurt with a handful of salted peanuts (nice salty and bitter combo)
L: 1 small lean pork chop with onions, mushroom sauce, and a some aspargus heads
S: I pepperoni stick
D: Not sure yet
Water: 32 oz's so far
Vites: done except for iron before bed
Exercise: will be 50 min on eliptical, and 10 min's strength training on my home gym

Today was my first day back at work, so for some reason I decided to have a sugar free popsicle on the way out the door.

L: 8 ounces of tomato and basil soup( last day of this because it just has too many carbs)
S: EAS strawbery creme shake
D: gonna try some strained chicken enchilada soup by Progresso

Exercise: none as of yet, maybe a walk once hubby gets home to sit with twins
