Lost 27 pounds and wearing the same size?

I'm still wearing my 2X top and the same jeans I wore before.

The difference is they are loose.  And if I am honest with myself, I now look like I THOUGHT I looked before in them.  (I guess I didn't want to admit it was time for 3X.)

I will be glad to get into a smaller size, though.

I started at 270 and wore a size 22/24 stayed in that size till I was about 240, then went to 20's, quickly went to 18's at about 220 and now at 203, the 18's are starting to get big.  So the more weight you lose the quicker it goes, it sucks for  a while though.  I was like I've lost 40 frickin' pounds I'd like to be able to buy new clothes!

Honestly, I went to buy a new top to wear to a party tomorrow night and I tried on two and thought, forget it.  However I found a shirt that I bought and only wore once because it really was too tight, and now it's too loose.  I'm wearing it anyway because it's my favorite color and I may as well get some use out of it!

I also have a bag I'm putting clothes in to get rid of.  Because I do have some that are too baggy.  It all depends on how they fit in the legs before.  I don't carry my weight in my thighs so if they were at all loose before, now they are balloons.  So I guess I can get rid of stuff, even if I don't have new stuff coming in yet!

You sound like you carry your weight like me.  All in the belly and "normal" looking legs and upper body.  That's me.  And I think that's why sometimes you'll see someone who weighs 20lbs more than you but is in a smaller size.  I have jeans now that are 18, fit me in my waist and the butt and thighs look like clown pants.  It's very frustrating and there's not a damned thing you can do about it!

I have the opposite problem.  I have size 18 jeans (and I'm twenty pounds heavier than you) and they fit perfectly in the butt and thighs, but the waist is now too big and gaps pretty bad.  My husband said to me the other day that he noticed I've lost weight in my face and in my waist....then he had to add that a smaller waist made my butt look bigger by comparison!   GRRR!!!

At least you know you'll look awesome in shorts this summer.  I will have to lose at LEAST 50 pounds more before I'd even consider shorts.

You have a Marilyn Monroe body, dear, and there is nothing to complain about there!

We apple girls have to stick together!

The other thing is height.  I remember going to Lane Bryant to find something pretty, oh, 20 years ago, when I first got into large sizes.  And I did find something pretty and I looked great in it--much slimmer than I usually did.  Then a few weeks later I heard a very round, short woman I knew mocking Lane Bryant.  She said, "I told my daughter if I ever get so big I have to shop there, shoot me."

My mouth fell open because I was staring down at her in a Lane Bryant dress (which I informed her of, with a grin) and if anybody was obese in that conversation, it was she.  She might only wear a 16 but she was so short...

And don't get me wrong.  I'm not mocking ANYBODY.  I think it's sad but true that when we're miserable, we take comfort where we can, and not having to shop at Lane Bryant brought her comfort.

I'm so glad I'm sleeved now, and all that is behind me!

If only that will happen in time for my trip to Hawaii in late June!

I've lost 40 pounds and still wear a lot of the same clothes.  But I have noticed that I did go down to a size or even two in jeans and my fitted straight skirts are now all too big.  It's weird how some things stil fit fine, but others are way too big.
