 Hey I give an in depth review of my first 5k here.  I'm less than 8 weeks out from surgery so know YOU CAN DO THIS!

That's great!!! I'm still pre-op but I've included some jogging in my daily walks

 Less than 8 weeks and you ran a 5K!!   OMG, tooooooo awesome.  I loved your descriptions :)   And you look fantastic!   A 5K is one of my goals.  I had signed up to WALK one last fall, but it snowed that weekend.  And I haven't signed up for another.  You have motivated me.  I've been meaning to start a C25K, so today I'm going to walk, and do a 30-second jog to start training.

You rock!!

I think you're hooked!  Congratulations!  Sounds like a nifty race.  So now that you've done your c25k, what's next?  If you're interested, I've been doing the novice marathon training plan at dreaminmotion.net (35 week plan although you could skip the first few weeks)  and think it's a great plan.  Just did 7 miles today and came to the realization that 7 is exponentially more difficult than 6!  I think I want a nap...

 I have a 10 miler planned for October so I am starting on a half marathon training this coming week.
