Good for you!

Next week for me is an 8 mile run on Sunday, which is hugely meaningful for me since the farthest I ever ran, back in my high school cross country team 16 year old 115 lb. self, was 8 miles.  Can't believe I'm back to it 30 years later...

Amazing!!!  Great job!  At 8 weeks out that is so very impressive!

Congratulations - Great Job!  I hope to be running my first one in late summer or early fall.  I may have to put my training on hold in July.  I am having cataract surgery  on one eay in early july and the second eye in mid july.  No strenuous exercise while they heal.  What a bummer!

hrford, you're my hero! I haven't had surgery yet (prob in the next couple of months) but I signed up for the 5K at Walt Disney World marathon for incentive.  I just joined a local C25K group and it's kicking my butt but I'm really inspired by your achievement. Thanks for sharing this!

Every little bit you do before surgery REALLY helps after.  I had a regular walk/jog schedule before surgery so it made it much easier to get back into it after surgery.
