Okay, now I understand the protein thang.
I love the idea of wrapping ham and cheese around a cucumber. Sounds great!
I've been having green beans and squash from my garden. The only reason I referred to the dip as a veggie is because it's so dense with barely enough canola mayo to hold it together--it's more like a very dry cole slaw. I'm not saying it's perfect, but it's really pretty healthy. Let's see if I can upload a picture....

Looks good, but I probably couldn't work it in. I did try a few bites of raw cabbage a few weeks back and it did ten times better than romaine lettuce!
Did I tell give ya the link to theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/ before?
Has great ideas! I made a chicken and bean soup,it was fantastic. Chicken broth, rotisserie chicken, white beans, dark red kidney beans, spinach, and tomatos. I portion it out into 4 oz portions (no broth) and freeze it. Get all the taste of the veggies while getting the protein!
60 g is my goal, rarely go too far over.
Any idea how much protein you get per serving? I'll go check it out!
When I fixed my chicken tortilla soup today I saw how much chicken there was, fished it out and weighed it, and it was over an ounce, which was 8 grams of protein. But when I used myfitnesspal to tell me how much protein, it told me only... I forget, 3 grams? So I counted it as 1 ounce of chicken and broth. The calorie count wasn't that high in either direction but there was a big difference in how the protein counted.

I'm over 3 months out and BARELY get 60 grams of protein per day. I know that is the minimum but it seems like EVERYONE else shoots for WAY above that. I would like to but it's so tough for me.
Am I going to be ok with just the 60-65 per day? I feel like I'm losing alright (44 lbs so far) and don't feel deprived or anything so I'm always satisfied until I see so many others that aim for at LEAST 80 grams.
I guess when I see my Dr next week and get my labs done we'll see.....

I went over what my NUT told me and she gave things in "units" instead of grams and I've got to figure out how much it adds up to. So no, I am not sure how much protein I was told to have.
But since I've been able to drink the shakes easily from the beginning and I mix them with milk, it isn't hard for me to get in 80, and since that's what I've seen a lot around here, I just do it.
Let us know how your labs go!

Yes! I changed it because this picture shows my fat face and neck. I figure if I want to see myself slim down, I need to be reminded what I looked like before and not use a picture where I've carefully posed to hide everything!
I also put this picture with my whole upper half showing in my photos, but it's friends only. I am nervous about having stuff that is searchable on the internet even if my last name isn't on here.
