Allie - that sounds like exactly my scar from my hysterectomy. The good news is that it is now a light pink. The bad news is that I am 3 1/2 years out from that! So, it gradually fades, but not quickly.

Just FYI ladies, rubbing alcohol takes off tape adhesive residue. The technician who was doing my lab work told me about this when he saw I still had tape residue left from my hospital stay. Said he doesnt know why they dont tell the patients that. Gave me a couple of rubbing alcohol wipes and it did the trick. Since then I have just used rubbing alcohol on cotton balls to remove it. Good Luck!

I think it took about a month I was afraid to pull it so I carefulliy washed them the belly button was the last one to go,the one that was under my bra strap was first

Im 11 days out and all of mine are off... Id say around day 8 they started and it was fine

Pre op diet 224
Surgery day 212
month 1 to 2 i lost 9.6 pounds
month 2 to 3 i lost 7 pounds
month 3 to 4 i lost 6.2

If you are afraid of using alcohol just take a piece of medical tape and wrap it around your finger with the sticky side out and using a gentle wiping motion on those areas of adhesive. It comes off like magic with no irritation.
