SUGAR FREE GREEK YOGURT?
VSG on 05/23/12
I have been preparing for post surgery. My surgery is May 23rd.
I have finally found a way to tolerate the taste of Greek Yogurt.
I put 2 tablespoons lemon Torani Syrup and 4 packets Splenda
in it and it tastes like lemon pudding, or lemon pie filling. Yummy!
I wasn't paying very good attention and bought Oikos Greek
Yogurt before noticing it has 18 grams of sugar. Are there any
greek yogurts that are sugar free? Greek yogurt is a great way
to get in your protein.

Ralph's and Food 4 Less are both Kroger stores in CA and will carry Kroger house brand products. I typically us the Greek yogurts from Trader Joe's since we don't do much shopping at the Big 3 supermarkets.
I still can't take plain yogurt by itself, so I usually blend sweetened vanilla yogurt with plain yogurt and a bit of Splenda or stevia and mix in some fruit and almonds or granola. Or, mix in a little jam with the plain yogurt for flavor without the sugar overkill of the commercial flavored yogurts. I also make the jello SF puddings with greek yogurt, milk and protein powder for a hi pro dessertish pudding. Lots of things you can do with it, and it sounds like you are well on your way of discovering them.
Good luck on your journey,

Thank you for your input. I wasn't aware that Food 4 Less and
Ralph's were a part of Kroger. I will certainly make a trip to
Trader Joe's. I was also thinking of checking out Fresh and Easy.
I know they carry a lot of healthy choices. I am running out of
time to do a lot of shopping, and your information narrows
things down.

I have been trying different Greek Yogurts. So far the Fage is my favorite.
I think I will stick with it since the protein value is high, and I like the
creamy consistence. I bought the Oikos only because it was on sale,
and I was trying to make an effort to give different brands a chance
to win me over. Fage Wins! Thank you for your response.
