Not feeling well - almost 3 weeks

For the last two mornings, I woke up not feeling well at all.  As a matter of fact, this morning nauseousness woke me up around 3:30 in the morning.  When I try to sit up, I get really light headed and feel like I am going to vomit.  It takes a while (30 minutes or so) to pass, but then I fell OK.  Today I have not really felt good all day.  I am getting my protein in and my fluid ( at least I have the last few days).

I'm only almost 3 weeks out from surgery - anyone else have these issues?  Not sure if I should be worried or not.

It is funny that Thursday and Friday night were the first two nights I took my multivitamin at dinner time (some days prior I could not take it at all because it was making me sick), started walking on Thursday and then Friday and Saturday I wake up feeling really crappy.

Coincidence or issue going on?????

I don't have any advice for you, just wanted to say 'sorry'.  That sounds horrible in the middle of the night.  My multivitamin (Celebrate chewables) is two large chewables 2 times a day.  They are really hard to get down and I can't do both at once.  Maybe back off on those or move them earlier in the day to see if that helps.

I'm three weeks out and had two bad days Thursday and Friday, but I think both were related to (possibly) pollen or something.  I felt awful, had drainage, sinus headache.  Slept a lot.

It sounds like something totally different, but I thought I'd mention it since sinus drainage can cause nausea.

Not to be alarmist, but this is not normal.  I think you should contact your surgeon or doctor's office first thing Monday if you're still not feeling well.  It sounds like low blood pressure and/or low blood sugar.  This is added to the fact that for a month or two after surgery our chemical and hormonal balances are all out of whack.  It might just take some Gatorade to get your electrolytes back in swing or something of that nature.  But it's worth a phone call.

You may not be ready for the vitamin yet.  I never have been able to take a multivitamin.  I only take B12 and D3.  I would continue with the protein and get some gatorade to sip on as well. And  call Dr on monday just so you don't worry about it.

My vitamin is a big ol horse pill and indeed makes me nauseous. I never take it on an empty stomach and from now on I'm going to take 1/2 after breakfast and 1/2 after lunch. They can make you feel HORRIBLE!!!

Thanks everyone for your responses - it really does help.  I think it was the vitamin - I didn't take it yesterday and today I feel great - no issues at all.  I have tried the Celebrate chewables (even took them at two different meals).  None of them seem to work very good for me right now.  I'll just keep trying every few days or so until they settle right again.  :)
