Pre-Op appt W/Surgeon AND Decided to go with VSG Instead of GB

I feel so much better and I couldn't have got to this place without all of your support. After meeting with my surgeon together we when over all the pros and cons for both surgeries and my own situation and came to the decision I will have the VSG instead of originally planned GB. It really made more since for me. I want to thank all of you very much for your input, encouragement and support, you are all GREAT! I thank God I found this site and all of you.
My surgery is next week 5/30 and I am so ready!

I think you will be very happy with your decision. I know I am . I considered bypass 6 years ago and decided against it at the time for various reasons and then when I was ready to reconsider the surgery last year I also decided on the band as I didn't even know about the sleeve at that time.  Once I started reading about it, I knew that was what I wanted.  I am sooooo glad I went with the sleeve. Best of luck to you. You have a fabulous journey waiting just around the corner for you.

with the help of this site, i too changed my surgery type (from lap-band to vsg). which was the best decision i ever made.

I was wondering how your doctor appt went, so happy for you. Will be praying for you next week, and remember after surgery, sip, sip, sip, walk, walk, walk, rest, and repeat. You will love your sleeve.
