Things that are annoying...
VSG on 07/02/12
....after changing to a healthier lifestyle. Right now, For me, The things that annoy me THE MOST (for right now anyways, lol) are, Now that I drink sooo much water everyday & night, I just cant STAND having to get up in the middle of the nite or tooo early in the morning to pee like a race horse, suuuper annoying! Another one is, Now that I havent been making those fastfood runs after work because I was too tired or lazy to cook, I actually cook when I get home which is great and all, but all those DARN dishes just wont seem to go away or diassapear, Its neverending!!! BOO!!!
LOL. How about any of you, Is there any lil things that annoy you now that your lifestyle has changed???
Haha! Love it
I totally get the dishes thing.
For me, the annoying part is making sure I have something readily available to drink, because water doesn't sit well on my new tummy and I have run out of crystal light a time or two and had to make trips to the store when I didn't really have time to do it... lol.
Oh yeah... and coming here and mfp. They keep me in line, which is awesome, but then I get caught up in reading everything and don't get other things done. Like right now... I'm supposed to be getting ready to go out. Nope! Here I am... haha!
Speaking of that... gotta get going! See y'all later!

For me, its the ton of gurgling and grumbling my stomach makes after i eat and when it is digesting! Arg! I am probably the only one who can hear it but if im watching a movie with friends after i eat i always feel like i have to tell them my stomach may make funny noises.
i guess its a very small price to pay for all of the ways my life has changed for the better. but yea, it is a little annoying.

Take it from an old gal who is almost four years post-sleeve and who spent 30 of her adult years overweight / obese / morbidly obese -- NOTHING is as annoying as not being able to walk because my spine broke down from hauling around all that blubber.
I would gladly wash all your dishes, Gab, and I would gladly get up in the night and pee for you (and I still go at least twice myself!), and I would give almost anything to have just the little annoyances IF I could only walk and work and take care of myself and my house!!!!!
I would give almost anything to have those 30 years back, and to know then what I know now, so that I could avoid what all those years did to ruin my body.
Take if from me.....

Dorothy,
I'm so glad you posted this. It puts in perspective how much most of us take for granted. There are things I do that annoy me but in the bigger skeme of things those don't really matter and I should be grateful I can do them.
Thank you for reminding us all how grateful we should be. We are all very blessed (including yourself).

Thanks so much, sutherngrl :-) Threads like this make my blood boil, and I never should have even read it, much less replied. And if I say anything more about it, as I would like to, heh heh, I will teeter over into "rude and offensive" territory, and I don't want to do that. But thank you again for responding. You are the only one who has.
And you are right -- we ALL are so blessed, and I count my blessings every day!!

Aaawww, Dorothy!!
It's so true. My husband died when he was 34. After that, I would get sooo angry when people would complain about their husbands for stupid little things. I would end up snapping at them that they should be glad that they had a husband who was actually ALIVE!
I also understand their need to grouse about something. Kinda like I commiserate with mothers of horrible teenage daughters. Sure, they are annoying and easy to complain about, but the truth of the situation is that I would never have given up my daughter for anything. She's an adult now, thank God!!!
I appreciate your post. I hope that it makes people give consideration to the fact that whatever problem they are experiencing right now, if that's the worst problem they could have that day, then it probably isnt a real problem at all.

Thank you, mom :-) And I'm so sorry to know about your husband. It certainly must have been devastating to have that happen at such a young age. We just never know what hard things may happen in our lives without warning ... or what blessings we may experience! I guess that is what life is all about. Best wishes ... and thank you again.
