VSG in Mexico?

Hi guys! Did anyone have the VSG in Mexico?
I recently had the VSG done here in Houston.
My mother is very interested in getting the VSG done as well. Since she will more than likely be self pay, we are researching doctors in Mexico which is where she is from.
I was wondering if you could share with us your experience with your doctor .
Also did anyone have it done in Monterrey Mexico?
Thanks for your time
Javier

Not sure if you are only looking for Monterrey, but I had mine in Tijuana and had a fablulous experience.
I was treating amazingly, the hospital was clean and the staff were great!
I would recommend Mexico in a heartbeat!
I went with Dr Ponce de Leon and it was coordinated by Trish who was also amazing and helpful!

There are gazillions of us here who went to Mexico, especially us old-timers, before the sleeve was done so much in the US. In my opinion, the two most reputable sleeve surgeons in Mexico are Dr. Guillermo Alvarez, whom I used and loved!, and Dr. Alberto Aceves. Dr. Alvarez is just across the border from Eagle Pass, TX in Piedras Negras. I had a wonderful experience with him and his staff and have not had a single problem in the almost four years since. His website is endobariatric.com .

i had positive experience with Dr. Ortiz and educated staff and have been successful in losing weight and feel that my weight loss is permanent. No infection, no throwing up, facilities were clean, plenty of attention everyday i was in Tijuana, they took their time, no rushing, responsive quickly to questions. Still have good restriction 7 months later.
Dr. Ortiz's fee is approximately $7,000 -- not the cheapest, not the most expensive.

Thanks ! your comments have been of great help as we research docs. i am glad to hear that yall had good experiences with docs in mexico. and it doesnt have to be in moneterrey, is just that i had not seen too many posts about docs there in monterey, which is where my mom is from and it would be kinda convenient since my parents have a house there.
but like i said any part in mexico is fine as long as its an experience doc with a good reputation.
thanks gain

good luck
