Ah, but that smell is some of the finest beef in CA being grown! That's the Harris Ranch Beef feed lot. You ought to smell the oil fields on the way into town. Yes.... I was born in Coalinga (I admit it!), but moved to the Bay Area when I was 2 years old, but visited my grandparents there multiple times per year. My grandparents lived there until I was 13, so I actually am very fond of those putrid smells. As a kid those odors signaled I was almost to my Granny's! YAY! It's all in the schema of things! LOL!
