 Kevin,

First, my sympathy for what you are going through with your mom.  I know that can't be easy.  If you need anything, just ask.

Second, you should be really proud of yourself.  You may have slipped, but it's not an issue if you acknowledge it and learn from it.  Terrific job man!

Its important to share our struggles as well as our successes.  Your willingness to share is inspirational and so are you.

Kevin, I am truly sorry to hear about your mother's illness.  I know that food issues come up strong during times of stress or sadness or frustration, and I bet you might be feeling all of these and more.  You were able to identify what you were doing and take control.  That is not easy, it is actually quite heroic.  I am so very proud of you and I wish I was closer, I would give you a huge hug.  You are proving how serious you are about getting your health back; you will succeed and you will win.  I am pulling for you.

Kevin

Sorry to hear about your mom - I will keep her in my prayers!

High five to you for identifying where you were slipping and not just hopping back on the wagon, but running ahead of it!  You are gonna hit the century club in no time - by Sunday instead of Monday with that attitude and effort!

**hugs! So sorry that you are going through such a hard time! Way to sublimate and use your feelings to your advantage.  Sometimes exercise feels so much better than the old harmful behaviors (did I just say that? wow! ).

I'm impressed!

Thank you everyone for your kind words.  It really does mean a lot to be able to tell things like this to people that can understand what kind of frustrations we go through on this journey.

Today I went back to the nursing home again and she was even worse then before.  We had to have her taken out to the hospital 911 from the nursing home.  After 6 hours there today, they finally admitted her to ICU.  She is not doing well but has gone through this before and come out beating it .. I hope she can keep up the fight.

As far as eating goes, I didn't do bad today which is good.  I hope by tomorrow she is improved.  I know my mind won't really be on my job very much tomorrow ... I'll be anxious to get back up there to check on her.

Any prayers would be appreciated!  Thanks again everyone for being there .. and being so kind.

Kevin,

I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. It's so hard to watch people we love get sick and to only be able to do so much to help them.

Sometimes, there are life situations that make eating on plan more difficult. I don't think anyone could blame you for straying a little during something like this, but I'm so proud of you for nipping it before it got out of hand.

That next goal is right around the corner, friend. You'll be there in no time!
