Ok, I had complications which i'll post about later. But for now, I was in hospital 7 days and have a ton of fluid to get out. Anyone know when i might really see it gone?

Sorry to hear about your complications.

As far as getting rid of fluid, the sooner you can get your fluid up to the recommended levels, the sooner that will flush out. Generally, people here recommend not weighing for about a week after coming home from surgery.

I hope you're feeling better now that you're out of the hospital. Be patient with yourself, and the weight will start to fall off before you know it.

I was 12 pounds up pre-op to home (2 units of blood). Was back to pre-op weight in 5 days. Those 30 pounds will come off quickly. Sip, walk, rest. repeat frequently.

With all my complications I'm not looking for a magic number anytime soon. Just wish the tightness in my legs and feet and ankles would ease off. Victory today, 7cups of water and still sipping which puts it coming out about every 30 mins.  I feel all of this is making me very dedicated to getting it all right. I think I may have a new mantra...God will turn our weakness into strength.

I'm sorry you had complications. I'm not sure about the VSG surgery, but I lost 17 pounds of liquid in 48 hours a week after my first c-section. Once your body "decides" to release the liquid it can come off quickly.
