Do I have the solid/liquid wait wrong?

 Trying to be so accurate with my diet. I struggle to get more than 25 - 30 protein. I was counting my protein shakes as meals and waiting 30 min before and after for drinking. That isn't right is it? Bet I can get more protein in by eating soft protein for meals and sipping shakes between. Right? I know I have to have other liquid too, but does shake count for liquid count?

I don't count my protein shake as liquid ONLY because I mix mine with milk.

Here is something that I have learned and it is something you can work towards, I read it on here and it is working great for me. I fill 4 71ml G2 bottles with water and mio/crystal light. I have one while I am getting ready for work and then walking to work (pretty much dancing for the washroom by the time I get there). So then I have to wait the 30 mins to eat my breakfast, then I eat and wait the 1 hr then start my second bottle of water and try to get it all in before 1130am because 12 is my lunch time, then one between lunch and supper and then one in the evening. I can usually get 1-2 in between lunch and supper though because I walk home as well after work so sometimes I am over 94oz which is ok.

When you get to solid food I would definitely wait the 1 hr after you are done eating. I know with the heat of summer coming on it is getting hard to wait that 1 hr and will probably start relying on protein drinks for lunch and possibly supper depending on how warm it is outside. I ran one day in the heat last week and was so hot when I finished that I have to think of getting up 30 mins earlier in the morning and trying to do a run then instead. I guess I messed up when to start the couch to 5k

I counted shakes as liquids... and I didn't wait before and after to drink, because it's all liquids! Once you start mushies, then avoid drinking around eating.

No, shakes are liquid.  Water, protien shake, treat it the same time-wise.
