Am I getting enough calories?
I had my sleeve surgery May 2nd. Since then I am only getting between 300-700 calories a day in and I'm only getting about 20-30 ounces of water a day. I am just too full to get any more. I'm going to the gym 4-5 days and my weight is coming off slowly. About 3-4 pounds a month at the moment.
What is normal? Do I need to try to get more calories in to loose weight?
Thanks for your adivce.

WAYYY Too Little water!
Are you making your protein goals? Are you taking your vitamins? What are you eating. The calories are important, but so is the content. IF you are eating 700 calories of bread and peanut butter thats bad. If you are eating 700 calories of dense protein, that is good.
The lack of water though is problematic. you should be getting 64 ounces at a minimum per day. The formula for porper hydration is 1/2 your body weight in pounds in ounces of water (e.g if you weight 180, 90 ounces of water).
Your body uses the water in all of its processes from breaking down fat to building glycogen and muscles. If you are starving it for water you will stop some of those processes. You will also just feel better hydrated properly.

I have NOT had any bread, pasta, rice or potato for months. I am doing a protein shake with (25 grams) protein each day, lunch is chicken or vegan pattie with maybe a tomato slice. Dinner is chicken or turkey of fish (about 2-3 ounces) and a veggie which I can't get more than a bite in since my surgeon told me to fill on protein first. Everything else is water. I am seeing if flavor with the water would help so I have tried a little crystal light. How do I get more water in when I am so full? I though****er may be the problem because with all the protien I am constipated.
Sip sip sip all day long, in between meals. I keep a 32 ounce sport bottle with me and keep refilling it. Also, I avoid crystal light like the plague. There can be a lot of calories in some of their flavors. I use the MiO water enhances and super free train syrups.
Dehydration is a problem you don't want and is THE number one post op complication that bariatric patients face.
It sounds as if your food choices are ok. For breakfast you might consider adding Greek yogurt with either the MiO flavors added or a tbsp of cocoa, some Splenda, and a torani flavor syrup. They can be really awesome and you can get 23g of protein with between 130 and 140 calories.
I wouldn't try upping your cals, I'd up your water.
