Connecticut Meet and Greet? XPost

Ok, I think a meet and greet is definately in order.

Anybody have a suggestion on where, when or what?

I don't like to be shown up by the West Coast crowd...they go big or go home. But I think we should start a little smaller, LOL. And because we're such a small state, if any of you other Yankees would like to get in on it, just say the word.

I'm open for suggestions.
Here is my suggestion (always open to better ideas but somebody has to start somewhere):

Wed night at Foxwoods casino, meet and greet at the Atrium bar at 6:30 till 7:00 (coctails if you so choose) dinner at the Cedars Steak house in the less formal area (they have some really good appetizers that are sharable or small enough for one of us).
Then Karaoke at the Scopion Bar at about 9:30 for those that are interested. (start time is approximate)
or you can just go gamble, or of course go home.

What do you think? Who's in?

I was hoping the Jersey, Mass, NY crowd would join in.

 4 hours from my house, good excuse for an overnight for the hubs and I without the kids! When you have more info on dates and times I will hit him up!

So just wanted you to know that so far we are looking at Aug 18th, Saturday at Foxwoods.

 pretty sure that would work!

I have no issues with a weekend get together but the rooms at the casino on a weekend are like 400 a nite. Out of my league. But I got people in the area and can stay with them or play poker all night, LOL
The rooms (especially for those who are coming from NY, NJ are about $100 on a weeknight.)
However, If there is enough commitment, group sales would give a discount. Not sure what that would be, maybe $150? for the night?
There are two other hotels very close to the area with shuttle service. I can look into it for money purposes.

Lets see where this goes and we'll take a vote on the ideas that are thrown out there.
Majority wins?
I'm game for anything.
