onederland... so close... so far away...
So... for the past 19 months (nine months preop and 10 months surgiversary) I have been really working at this. Down 155 lbs from my highest weight Dec. 1, 2010 and 93 lbs since surgery. No worries, feeling good about this but I am now hovering at 200 and it will NOT change... All month I've been stuck with the same couple of pounds bouncing around... hitting 200 for days now and argggghhh... just can't seem to get that 199.
Sigh, I know, patience, keep up the protein, keep up the water, keep up the exercise.
Man, sometimes it is just tough.
Sorry.... after the sixth day of weighing in at exactly 200... I just had to rant for a moment. Now I feel better. Thanks for listening all and keep up the good work everyone!

It is like our bodies know when we are trying to hit a goal. Mine did the same thing, 200.8, 200.6, 200.4 it took days to see it. Now it is doing the same thing to me as I am trying to get to 100 pound lost, my next goal lol frustrating it is. I had a goal for after the 100 pounds lost of fitting into my daughters clothes, this has already happened yet still twenty five pounds from her weight. Started cause I liked a pair of shorts she has so tried them on and they fit, so I said I was going to try the jeans. They are really snug but I fit into them and they are skinny jeans. So I am trying not to pay attention to the numbers on the scale and watching the sizes change.
I laughed when people spoke of this when I was further away from 199, didn't think it would happen to me but it did so you are not alone. I thought it was weird so many people talked about it, so I really think our bodies know.
I also had month 8 & 9 were only four pounds lost, frustrating!!! It was like a big stall but seeing I am down 3 so far this month I might lose more then the 4 in those months. Weight loss is slowing down where a dr friend of mine said I might be getting close to what my body wants for a weight loss and that it might want to stay where it is at. Well that is not acceptable to me. I am exercising everyday, running three times a week, building lots of muscle and sticking to plan.
We will get to our goals, just might take us longer, hang in there.

I've been there myself. So many days at the same weight yet working so hard. It is so tough. What I finally did to lose the last 35 lbs or so is change up my diet. I read the Primal Blueprint and switched to a modified version. I also started tracking on myfitnesspal every day. It worked for me, but everyone is different. Just keep up the fight, eventually you will break that 200. It's such a big milestone, I remember the feeling! Best of luck to you.

As I approached onedonerland which I had hoped to reach at 6 months, the scale said 200.0. And it bounced up and slightly down, but took more than a week to get to the 199.7 I think. I just kept and still keep telling myself that I am doing this right and going the right direction, so slower is okay. Your weight loss is tremendous so far - it will happen! But it is a mental thing - I was on a high for days after getting to the 1's!
You are doing AMAZING. Just hang in there. I feel your pain. I'm further away. My lowest was 214 two days ago. I had a day surgery so, of course, I gained 8 pounds in two days. It will go away, but I'm like "come on, I want to see 210, dammit!"
It will happen, just keep doing what you're doing.
Doesn't make it ANY less frustrating though

Thanks all for the encouragement. Of course I know I am not the only one who has or will go through this frustrating time. I keep remembering how good it felt to see 2s instead of 3s and since I currently weigh about what I did when I graduated high school, I know it's a huge improvement and I'm grateful every day for how good I feel, how much energy I have and I cannot imagine how I schlepped around all that extra weight for so many years. I guess we all come to these things when we're ready and not before...
This morning the scale said 200.4 but I didn't sma**** I put in the closet and I will get it out in a week and see what I see.... weighing every day is maybe okay sometimes but it just adds to the frustration when you're at a point like this. Let's see what a week brings.
Cheers,
Lynn
