Recipe question

Im on my third day of pre-op liquid diet and a little bored, lol.  My diet for both pre-op and the full liquid post op allows yogurt, so I thought I would try something a little different and mix in my protein powder to add some flavor.  So here's the scoop:

1 cup Dannon Oikos Greek Yogurt
1 package of Nectar Double Stuffed Cookie protein powder (I order the "Grab N Go" packets to make them easy to carry in my purse)

It works out to:

220 calories (which seems high)
47 grams protein
9 carbs

The calorie count seems a little high, but I'm wondering if this might be a good thing to use post op, when people seem to struggle to get to 70g of protein, since one cup puts me more than halfway there.  I'm also wondering if it might be good to freeze this in little tiny portions, to make it cold and perhaps soothing to a new tummy.....any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks for any input.

My post op diet would only allow for a 1/4 cup of it anyways so that wouldn't be bad.  If that is your meal preop, it doesn't seem that high...think about how many calories you used to eat.

From a protein per calorie perspective, that's quite good. You probably won't want to do a full cup at a time, but split it up into two meals or snacks and you have a lot of your protein problem solved.

Thank you.  For post op (while on liquids), my doctor says you're supposed to have 1 ounce an hour.....since one cup is 8 ounces, and since I've seen a lot of people say they are struggling to get in all their protein on just one ounce an hour, I was thinking that an ounce of this an hour, plus a protein shake, gets me there for the day....so if I can keep that up, then I've got it covered, at least until I can get to something resembling regular food.  Plus, it would keep me under the caloric limit for the day, overall.
