Cut my hair off

So as a very obese person I felt like I could never wear short hair- waaay to much neck and chins issue.  I have lost a lot (not all) and decided that I was done dealing with my horrible frizzy texture mess.  The woman did a fantastic job and I am very happy with it :)  I am feeling like I need to wear a collar shirt at the moment, as the turkey waddle thing is bugging me somewhat.  But hey, time to accept it for what it is.  The bummer- the husband absolutely hates it.  He has always liked long hair and my hair has been long for decades.  He is in the middle of a total hissy fit :(

I hear ya. I would like to try a much shorter style in future, because I have had long hair my whole life, and I am so sick of the damn pony tail. My husband on the other hand is dead against it also. He loves long hair, and sweeped up too. I can't go higher than shoulder length without getting the cold shoulder. Sigh. I guess, I will have to stick to dying it for now. I was a dirty blonde and went brunette, so at least he loves that.

Happy, where are the pics? I can't wait to see it short.

3/4 of my hair has fallen out since surgery and leaves me in tears daily. I also went blonde a few months post op which was a huge mistake, now it is thin broken and damaged. I am wanting to go short also but haven't been able to pull it off in the past due to my fat face. I am on the fence about cutting it off now even though it needs to be cut badly.

My hair felt much thicker then the fuller length so I am wondering if a shorter style may help your siituation??

I have to probably be the most camera shy person on the forum- sorry no pics

But it is pretty darn cute!!!

Way to go! You have more guts then I do. So afraid to look like the fuzzy part of a dandelion with the humidity out here!

I had mine cut off last week just touching my shoulders, so probably close to six inches. I needed a lift, my hair is so thick that they thinned out the under layers, I like it but I had to keep the long pangs so I could still pin it up with the heat of the summer.

I have always associated short hair with old ladies.  But I lost so much hair I decided to go very short, so that it would look a little thicker, which worked.  (And in fact I *am* an old lady at 62, even if people tell me I don't look it.)  Of course, no one knew the real reason, they just assumed that with the weight loss I was doing a total makeover, and I did get compliments on my hair.  And now I like it!

I always associated short hair as very maternal looking. I never wanted to look "maternal." lol Also, I think it's common for men to prefer long hair, it's just what is most attractive to them I guess.

I never want short hair, but I might be forced to cut it *some*..ugh.

Tell hubby it will grow back!

Not planning on growing much back- maybe a little tiny bit.  I am ok with looking maternal, because ya' know- I'm maternal so it fits!

I am not able to get it to look at awesome as the stylist so it is a bit more boyish looking with me doing it.  Need to work on that and probably bust out a curling iron :)
