This is day 3 of my 14 day liquid diet.  I am having a protein shake for breakfast and lunch and trying to eat a high protein dinner.  I enjoy a sugar free jello and yougurt everyday as well.  I am getting a little bored already....any suggestions?  What else can I eat?? Help me!!!!

I lived on tomato soup during the liquid diet. It's the hardest part of the whole process. Stick with it, it's worth it in the long run.

Chicken broth. You could make herbal tea than add stevia to sweeten than put it in the fridge so that you can have sugar free decaf ice tea.  (Also stevia is a natural sweetner not artificial)
Also can make sugar free popsicles out of it.  Or buy the artifical sugar free popsicles.  I hear after the 4th day your blood sugar levels out and it gets easier not so hunger.  Keep it up.
I'm not looking forward to the liquid diet either but I know it's something I gotto do to keep surgery less complicated.

Yeah mine very simular to yours if not the same.  It says we can have sugar free applesauce.  But even the sugar free has a lot of carbs.  I question if that's strict enough.  Somewhere else I read Carbs should be under 30 grams for the preop diet.  Just 1/2 cup sugar free applesauce is 15 grams.  Milk has 12 grams a cup and so does yogurt.  I'm confused.

it depends on your dr's plan, mine was for 2 weeks and i was allowed veggies.  i'm at 6 months out and im doing the pre-op diet again to get in a better frame of mind.  I'm making all kinds of veggies, pan grilled zucchini, cream of chicken soup with green beans, baba ganouish made of pured eggplant, heirloom tomatoes cut up, roasted cauliflower in the oven-yum, cauliflower mashed potatoes.  have fun with it!  the first three days while you detox off of carbs is the hardest, it gets easier though and you become more conscious again.  dont be suprised if you have bad breath thats the carbs buring off.  good luck, you are almost there!
