GOAL!!!!!

It has such a nice ring to it, doesn't it?

Today, I woke up at 190.8 lbs.  My Surgeons goal was 200.  My goal initially was 185, but after talking to many people I raised that to 190.  It seems to be the right spot for me.  My body has been dramatically slowing down my weight loss.  Everbody in group told me - "You'll know when you're there".  My nutritionist told me to stop losing 5 lbs ago, saying "If you are not losing at 600 calories a day, you should start maintaining".  I wasn't ready to stop though or raise my goal another 5 lbs.

I am now.

I know now waht everyone was telling me.  I have lost a total of 3-4 lbs in July so far.  That is a ridiculously small ammount for me.  My body in the last two weeks has not only stopped losing, but the skin has gotten much saggier.  I had the loose skin before, but now its doubly loose.  The inside of my thighs doesn't have the smooth bags of skin, it looks like I have giant patches of scrotum skin.  Same thing with my stomach.  A clear indication that I have gotten after my last big stores of subcutaneous fat.

Anyway, Now I start upping my calories.  I am going for 800 today instead of 600.  I am accomplishing this caloric miracle by having my Almond Joy Falvored Chocolate Frozen Yogurt as a snack instead of a meal replacement, and a piece of cheese as another snack.  Nothing crazy.  Tomorrow I will go for 1000 calories.  I am sticking with my high protein low calorie foods - With my eyes still healing I need the protein.  MY food is fuel, not a reward.  Its purpose is to sustain my body, not my soul.

When I started this journey my goal was to lose the weight so I could have a steak and baked potato agian.  Can you imagine how ****** up I must have been back then? Go through all of this for a loaded potato?  Luckily I had the right people help me on my journey and know better now.  I don't know when I will have that steak and potato.  Its just not that important any more.

So how am I going to celebrate if not with Darth Spud?  ARMANI JEANS *****es!  I am going to wrap my formerly huge ass in a label that would have intimidated the hell out of me before.  I woke my dear Thomas up and made him get ready so we can go to Macy's.  HE gets off work at 1:30 AM, and gets home around 2 - so this was not very kind of me.

Thanks and Much love to all of you!  The people on here who have helped me are too numerous to name - but we all know who they are!

And to the newbies - Stay on track.  Follow your plans.  Do the work on yourself.  You can get here too.

Congratulations on reaching goal!!! You will rock maintenance, like you did the weight loss phase. Just keep practicing the behaviors that helped you to reach goal.

MY food is fuel, not a reward.  Its purpose is to sustain my body, not my soul.

Can I just say, that this was a profound thing for me.  If you don't mind, I would love to take this line, add it to my signature and use it as my mantra; because this is as it should be.   I am not there yet.

You are such an inspiration. Every time I have come to OH seeking information, support, encouragement, you have beent he first person to respond, and always have such great advice or know just the right thing to say.

Congratulations to you for work so hard to achieve this goal!     Take a photo!  Thomas shouldn't be the only one to enjoy seeing that formerly huge ass in those fabulous jeans!
