I'm a June 14th sleever and doing good! Only thing I need to do more of is more protien and more liquids. Last week I was finally able to drink something cool and have more of a selection to drink. So hopefully that will help.
From my scale I am down 35 lbs. Just that much has made a difference in how I feel!
Waiting to buy new clothes for work for a couple more weeks. School starts in the middle of Aug(which I work at) and I don't want to get clothes now and grow out of them by then. Can't wait to go clothes shopping though! Never thought I'd say that!

Looking forward to going back to work also so I can get a more permanant schedule for myself.

Last week was a tough week as we were on vacation. Going out to eat and all...I picked good choices but man how I wanted other things.

Congrats to you all! We are on our way to a better life!

I'm loving life! I was sleeved on the 8th of June. I was one of the lucky ones who had little to no pain . Now I have no problem getting my protein or water. I am down 31.8 since surgery . I'm dancing again for the first time in years. I'm playing with my kids more. I'm teaching them that health is important. I'm making progress and working hard.
Pre-op -7.8, M1 -21.4, M2 -18.4, M3 -?

June 25th sleeved.  Doing well.  My weight loss seems slow but I'm not worried about it down to 185lbs with a 22 lbs lost. That includes 10 day preop diet.   I'm shopping in my own closet.  This time I'm cleaning out the closet for good rather than saving the bigger sizes.  Every time I lost weight in the past I knew I would gain it back.   I have 12s thru 18s in my closet. Hope to get down to an 8.

I was sleeved on June 12 with a starting weight of 320.  This morning my weight was 280, that 40 lbs gone!  I'm also down two dress sizes. None of my clothes fit anymore.  Anytime my husband tell me I need new clothes I know it has to be bad.  I can't remember the last time I was able to wear a 22/24.  Feels great...loving my sleeve!!

Tomorrow is my one month surgiversary and I'm happy to say that I'm doing great!  I'm feeling so much better, am getting all of my protein and water in and am finally able to pick up my kids again!!  My 20 month old just went through a growth spurt and I can feel the difference in his weight increase!  My ticker is off .4 lbs but I've lost a total of 33 lbs so far (12 during pre-op liquid diet and 21 post-op).  I did a major closet overhaul last week and got rid of a lot of my clothes that are starting to be too big as well as any winter clothes that definitely won't fit me when the temperature begins to drop.  I'm also shopping from my closet and am loving wearing clothes I haven't worn in a long time or never wore!

I'm going on a family road trip tomorrow.  I was worried that I wouldn't feel up to it, so I'm so happy that I'm ready and rarin to go.  I've been tracking all of my food intake and exercise on myfitnesspal and have found that to be incredibly helpful.  I am also finally beginning to get over some of my head hunger issues and am finally not the slightest bit craving sweets (my prior huge downfall).  I've been free of caffeine for a month and a half and am not missing my lattes or other specialty drinks at all either!  Amazing!

Wishing you all continued success on the losers bench!

I was sleeved on June 28th, so am almost 4 weeks out. I weighed 251 on the day of surgery (I lost 37 pounds preop in 3 months doing low carb) and I now weigh 234, so I have lost 17 pounds post-op. I have been stalled for over a week. The 3 week stall arrived right on time. I was expecting it, but it has been frustrating. The weight fell off preop when I was doing low carb and eating large amounts, and now I can lose nothing on 400-500 calories a day. I am hope the losing will start again soon. I am down at least one size since surgery, and hoping to go down at least another size before school starts. (I am a teacher)

The biggest issue I have had is that I have been really tired since the surgery. It is slowly improving, but I doze off and take naps throughout the day. I had 3 weeks off and needed the whole three weeks. This week I am teaching summer school half days, and doing fine. But I come home and take a nap! Next week I work 2 full days and 1 half day.

My surgeon's eating plan postop is conservative. I did one week of clear liquds, 2 weeks of full liquids, and now I am doing one week of purees. It is getting boring, but I am not having a hard time sticking to it. I can "eat" so little I am just amazed. Even though I knew what to expect in the abstract, it has surprised me to eat only a few tablespoons and feel stuffed.

I haven't started exercising yet but I hope to in a few weeks. Before school starts I want to totally go through my closet and remove clothes that no longer fit. I have a huge wardrobe. I am looking forward to having an almost empty closet that I can really arrange nicely, rather than the one I have now that is stuffed to the gills with a few different sizes of wardrobes.

So, I am adjusting to my new way of eating. I know I will be happy with the VSG once the weight starts falling off. I so appreciate the information and support on this forum!

Hi all! My surgery was on 6/4 which puts me just over 7 weeks out. I am down a total of 31 lbs, 25 since surgery. I'm pretty happy with those numbers. Hey, I didn't pack on these 114 extra lbs overnight, sure not gonna lose them that way! So glad to have found this forum! It has been so helpful and encouraging!! My biggest struggle since surgery has been that I am hungry ALL THE TIME! Working on figuring out why and how to fix it. Think I'm gonna need to change up my PPI. Well Congrats go all my fellow June sleevers! Cant wait to watch the lbs start melting off of us! Good luck to all!!

SO GLAD I posted yesterday.  I've enjoyed reading through each and every post.  Seeing similarities and differences has helped so much. We are all doing a great job at rocking our June sleeves. So great to come to OH to find the encouragement and information we need.
