Sucks sucks sucks!  My stitches itch and get pulled on by my belly when I walk.. have to hold my belly up.. looks ridiculous..trying really hard to get enough liquids in and just started protien shakes today.. blerg.. I want a nap

Can I ask why you are back to work all ready??

Can you take any more time off?

Your tougher than me, I had 6 weeks off. But I lost about 100 pounds in 8 weeks too so it was a little hectic for me.

Hang in there it gets better, when it does you'll love it!

Jayla- You can do this! Maybe you should pm my friend/co-worker ace30927. She returned to work 7 days post op. She took one week off from work and returned the next week for half days. She would work longer if she could, she also had an hour and a half commute. Our surgeon (I will be using the same Dr.) was surprised to see her back at work before her post op visit but she was more then ok with it. She maybe able to give you some tips that worked for her.

Good luck!

Check with your surgeon for a recommendation of some kind of abdominal support wrap or undergarment that will help support your abdomen and reduce pull on your surgical sites.

So I realize I must be a work-aholic. I had surgery Friday July 29th and returned to work Monday morning with liquid tylenol in hand.

I had surgery on 7/19 and I'm supposed to be back at work 8/4.... I'm kind of bored with sitting at home and I'm thinking of going back early. My doc said if I felt ready I could go back to work a week after surgery.
