Thirsty!!

How about just a slice of lemon or a squirt of lemon juice? Something I enjoyed early on was putting just an ounce of unsweetened fruit juice in a glass and filling the rest of the glass with very cold water.
I still can't handle our tap water straight up (chlorine & fluoride) but filtered water tastes just fine - especially really cold. I also developed a hatred for Crystal Light, but like Hawaiin Punch just fine.

First, not all artificial sweetners are bad. I personally can't do aspartame ... headaches are induced. I actually don't mind splenda (sucralose) sweetened drink mixes. If you aren't liking those choices, have you tried any sweetened with stevia. If you have and don't like that choice the only other option I can think of ... although I have never tried it ... get unsweetened mix and then try to sweeten with agave nectar.
I am afraid that there isn't much else you can try. I don't tend to mind the splenda or stevia sweetened drink mixes. But I have a trick that works for me. Whenever I try something that is sweetened with things other than sugar I say to myself do I not like it because it doesn't taste the way I expect or do I simply not like the taste itself. I know that this may be confusing. Before surgery I had a protein bar that was labelled chocolate brownie. If you eat it with the expectation that it will taste just like a nice homemade brownie you will be disappointed and not like it. If you eat it instead with no expectations and sit there and taste it for what it is ... does it taste good? I actually found that I enjoyed those bars and they actually did taste good even though they weren't brownies. So get out of your mind if you can.
Hope this helps a little.

Gatorade G2. When I was unable to get my liquid in due to nausea, and I became severely dehydrated, my doctor's office told me to cut the water and switch to G2 only. I liked the raspberry lemonade and the fruit punch. I now only enjoy drinking very crisp, extremely icy cold water. Once it gets room temp or even close, I have to refresh it..
Someone mentioned making popsicles out of the G2, or something like pedialyte. You need to make sure you are getting your fluids so you don't get dehydrated.
I ate sugar-free popsicles too. Good luck!!

Try some mint. I had to use the sugar free Hawaiian punch. Not the best choice but the only way I could get my water in. I wasn't a punch drinker pre surgery but my taste changed tremendously. I just kept trying flavors until I found one I could tolerate. Also everything tastes better ice cold to me now.
