The 16th of July :) The insurance company said they can take up to 15 days. She says I can call them on the 7th of August because they did not get the info from the dr in their computer system until the 19th :( I am not a patient person either :) If they denie me again I think I just might scream :) They denied me over a year ago because during my 6 months of weight mgmt I was under 40 bmi So after I got denied and over the year I have put all the weight back on :(
Please keep your fingers crossed for me.

I would call... I called to "check the status often... if they get annoyed (lol) oh well... i found thru this process that me being on-top-of things was the only way to get them done...

DITTO! Only way the DD got thru.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

I too would keep calling. The worst they can do is tell you that it's not processed yet. And you'll probably get someone different each time you call, so I doubt they'll have too much of an opportunity to get annoyed.

I agree, CALL! Keep them on their toes. Also, there maybe a delay with when they approve you and when it gets to your Dr.'s office. My co-worker (I haven't had surgery yet), I called to check up on the status and was approved in 3 days. The 3rd day they said we approved you today, we can give you the approval code to give to your Dr. in the meantime (before the Dr. office actually got the approval letter/notification).

Good luck! I am not patient either, so once everything is submitted...I will be calling.
