Pictures from Vacation!

Well, I am back from my two and a half week vacation. Everything was amazing, I had a great time aside from a horse falling on top of me and leaving me with an awesome black eye and a few cuts. I did, however, gain two pounds. I choke that up to not following instructions, not exercising, drinking A LOT, and going out to eat every single night for 17 days straight. With that being said, is anyone else going on/planning a vacation? Where are you going and what are some tips to conquer the food and eating out that is usually associated with vacation. I probably should have asked that before I left huh?

Here are some pictures :)

I went on a two week vacation back in march april, I think if I recall I was up two or three pounds, I ate good, had on average one alcohol drink per day but really should have lost weight. I found within a couple if days it was sodium from constant restaurant food, I lost the weight fast but looked back and figured it was more then just the gain i didn't have any weight loss for them two weeks where I should have. I think I will skip vacation for a year this winter to get to goal. Plus can use the cash for other things instead. My mom treated us to the vacation, so hard to say no.

You did well though and I hope the weight loss goes crazy for you now. Mine hasn't budged much with other things going on since but will just take every day as it comes and wait it out. I still eat right and exercise right so it will surprise me again some day. I am waiting since they say after three months of strengthening that you notice a big fall in weight. I just notice inches basically for now with the four pounds a month lately it is boring but have to remember I am in this to get healthy and exercise and strengthening is a new way of living for life, it will happen eventually.

Looks like you had a blast! My husband and I are going on a cruise on August 25th for our one year wedding anniversary! I'm not worried about drinking alcohol while I'm on the ship because I'm too cheap to pay for it! Its like $9 for one 20 ounce beer!

There is only one success--to be able to spend your life in your own way.

I don't think it was so much how much we drank, but rather those amazingly delicious and incredibly awful for you mudslides/pina coladas and the hurricanes. Drink a few of those a day and watch the pounds pour on.. I'm already getting myself back on track though, I worked out this morning, had a hard boiled egg for breakfast and last night when I got home I had a piece of grilled chicken over some salad.

I'm sure you will have an amazing time though! Where is the cruise going?

Awesome pics!
You look amazing and very happy.

congrats

and no advice other than to find the time to do some working out early into the vacation because later on...not gonna happen.
2 lbs for 2.5 weeks is pretty darn good though.

good luck getting back to the real world and taking it off again.

cheers

Looks like you had a great time! Two pounds is not bad at all, just get back on track and get back to work. Everyone deserves a little vacation, even your sleeve, lol!

I wish I had gotten thrown on my ass, would have been much less painful! The horse was tied to a post, and I was sitting on him, the tour guide was holding his horse, and it pulled and got away from him and took off. My horse wanted to join in on the fun, so he reared up 3x and on the third time, he broke the rope that had him tied to the post... annnddd he was up on two legs and having someone who is 218 pounds on him threw off his balance and he fell backwards on top of me, and then proceeded to get up and run away and follow the other horse. I was much less afraid of the fact that I had fallen off the horse (that kind of thing happens a lot when you ride regularly), then I was about getting trampled when the horse stood up to take off
