I need some advise....I am not a big sweet eater.  During this 2 week liquid diet do I have any other choices of drinks other than the sweet protein drinks?

Could you try adding unflavored protein to low sodium v8? I've not tried it yet... but there are only 70 calories in a can. Isopure chocolate powder is more subtly sweet than others I've tried. Good luck. It seems to go pretty fast. I'm on day 4 and already down four pounds.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a different result.  It's time to try something new!

Yes, I am not sure if there is a Kroger grocery store where you are, but they have a great diet pink lemonade that is my on strict approved list for my pre-op diet. I stopped drinking it as much the first few days of the diet, then I went back, and it was almost too sweet. Try that, and Crystal Light. They are pretty good.

I'm starting the pre op liquid diet and I'm on day 2. I would also like some advise on what is ok to eat and what is NOT ok. I've been trying to research but I cannot find any clear answers for pre op liquid diet. Any help is appreciated. Thanx

ok, so I am on day 6. I start in the morning with either a protein shake OR 1 cup of diet v8 splash and 1 cup of decaf tea. Then, mid morning, I have either a carbsmart yogurt (6oz I think it is) or a 6 oz cup of cottage cheese. For lunch, I have a shake. A couple hours later, I have either the yogurt, or the cottage cheese (whichever I didin't eat), and I have a shake later in the evening about an hour before bed. This routine has helped me not be hungry. I drink pleant of water in between and sometimes with the cottage cheese or yogurt, I eat a sugar free jello if I don't feel satisfied enough. I hope this helps, but always talk to you Nut  or surgeon

You can add unflavored protein to low sodium broth (chicken, beef, veggie).

I was able to supplement chicken breast for a bar or shake.  My NUT said as long as the carbs/ fat and protein are the same and your still losing.  I could not stand the artificial sweetness of the shakes and bars. I am really not a fan of sucralose.  The first few days are hard but then the lbs come off :)
