Congrats to you all! keep up the good work! I had my surgery on March 31st, so the end of August will be a full 5 months. After about 4 1/2 months I've lost 52 pounds. I' m 6 pounds short of my initial goal of 138 pounds. I've gone from a size 16 women's down to a misses size 8! I've never been this small in my entire adult life. I love my sleeve!

WOW it HAS been 5 months!! I need to get my stats together!! Time is flying so quickly. I'm still loving my sleeve!! I've lost a total of 114lbs. 81lbs since surgery!! I'm only 15 lbs. from my third goal!!

My hair is pretty thick but it's thinning a bit at my hairline. nothing I can't handle at this point. I'm just trying to keep it moisturized and limit excessive heat and pulling (like wearing pony tails) in that area.

Glad to hear all is going well with everyone. Happy losing!!

Down 68lbs...from 226 to 158; size 18/20 to 9/10 and trying to get down to 130lbs. Had surgery 3/13. All is well, no complications. :) not sure about hair loss b/****ep tracks in my hair 3-4 months at a time (for those who dont you, u still wash your hair in the tracks on a regular basis! :) lol) but when i took the tacks out the other day and combed my real hair out to wash,  TONS of hair came out! but thats normal being that i was combing months of dead hair out, so i couldnt tell if i was loosing more from the surgery. I put new tracks right back in so i really wont see this transition of hair loss, if i am in fact loosing, which i guess is a good thing!

I'm down 68 pounds and have been losing hair since 3 months out. I'm hoping it will slow down soon because it's getting kind of thin!

Congrats to everyone!! You are all rocking your sleeve!!
Has anyone started thinking about getting a tummy tuck, or any type of plastic surgery? I am still 27 lbs from goal but I am thinking ahead....maybe around my 1 year mark, (March 2013) getting a tummy tuck?
I'd love to hear some feed back!!
Keep up the great work everyone!!!

Yep!!! Infact, I've been thinking about it before surgery. I already have an idea of what I will need/want done. Putting money in savings to prepare. I also already have a surgeon in mind

 Hey MizzEvil,

Do you have an idea how far out from WLS that you would like to have plastics done? I am just trying to gauge when to plan my tummy tuck. Have you done much research? I have reached out on the plastic surgery boards, and youtube. I would love to hear about any information that you have gathered too!
BTW...you are doing amazing!!

Just like this board, many people will tell you different things. Some will say after you've been maintaining for six months to a year. Others will tell you to at least be at goal weight.

I have several things that I would like to get done - when the time comes, if I am where I feel comfortable, the surgeon agrees and I have the funds ... I will attempt to get a majority of it done at once. If I still have a bit to go - I picked out a few things I would like done first based on necessity. My brother is getting married June 2013, which I will be a bridesmaid in. So, arms are going to be my main focus, and since I'll be around the area I'll probably get my boobs done too. I still need to do a bit of research on recovery time as far as that goes, not so much the breast, but the arms. I understand swelling and numbness last for quite a bit, but I'm just worried about the incisions being well healed and majority of the swelling to have gone down.

Hello!

I had surgery on March 16th 2012. I am down 66 pounds since surgery, 119 pounds including weight lost on pre-op diet. I have been losing hair since just before surgery due to my pre-op diet. I am glad I had a lot to start with and hoping for the loss to slow down. I do take biotin every day in hopes that when I get some regrowth it will be healthy and come in fast. I have not lost much weight in the past two weeks even though I log everything that passes my lips and I know I should be losing. I know I need to do something a little different to get things moving along again so I joined a gym. I have been walking my dogs for exercise up until now. I feel that isn't enough for me, hopefully stepping up the workouts will do the trick.

You are making great progress, keep up the good work!
 Heather
