Restless and Tired

OK so this is about the 5th day where I feel like I am crawling out of my skin. I have a nice job but here recently there isn't much I can do so I am bored. Sitting here and doing nothing is driving me nuts but worse than that is that I feel twitchy and like everything is hypersensitized.

I feel like I should get up and run around the building to get rid of some energy but at the same time I am yawning non stop. I am exhausted by about 1pm and could literally crawl into bed and sleep for hours. Anyone else feel this way at around 3 weeks? What can I do to make it stop?

Take some walks at work, even if it is just around the building. I try and do at least two around our whole complex or three if I can.

Are you taking B12? I added a B12/Folic Acid sublingal supplement to my vitamin regimen and it makes a huge difference in my energy level.

Also - make sure you're drinking enough water.

I am taking b12 and Folic Acid which I think may be part of the reason I have so much energy the problem is I keep yawning and by 1 or 2 I am sooooooo ready for a nap.

I am still working on the water 64 ounces is a lot to drink when you can only take tiny sips. LOL

I am walking at lunch but maybe I can find a few minutes here and there to bump that up a little.

You're body is still recovering. You will be tired for awhile as its using energy to heal. Everyone heals at different rates so I can only tell you the I didn't really start getting my energy bac****il about the 6th week.

Also, you are consuming far less calories than before surgery. Make sure you are getting enough protein and fluids in. Lack of either can cause the tiredness and twichiness you're feeling. You're probably bored with not much to do as well. Take walks as often as you can. You can also get a pedal set to put under your desk and pedal while you work. That might relieve to restlessness a bit.

Good luck and welcome to the losers bench.

I keep telling myself to be patient and just go with the flow but when you work full time and want to go to sleep by 2 it is slightly difficult. LOL The boss man is not too far away from finding me on the floor taking a nap here soon.

Yes I am probably consuming much less than I did prior to surgery and I know having no coffee is not helping the issue. I am still trying to be good though and avoid the coffee I have broken down and added back in some watered down tea.

Thanks for the welcome!
